2.2a Restoration and Commonwealth Ball
The Society held its first Restoration Ball in 1963 as a way of raising funds to make renovations on the Rotunda. The inaugural ball was hosted jointly with the University Guides. The Jefferson Society has in more recent years taken over full sponsorship of the event, which is still held annually.
