3.2 D&O Content Continued
The Jefferson Society offers countless opportunities for members to contribute to the intellectual richness of the Society and its legacy. These opportunities include a wide variety of debating and oratorical competitions, such as the Harrison Cup, the Washington Oratorical Contest, and the Moomaw Oratorical Contest. This box contains the Society’s 1987 Friendship Agreement with the Philomathean Society of the University of Pennsylvania, as well as some debate resolutions produced from intra-Societal debates (such as the no-doubt intriguing “Debate Resolution on Marriage”).
