Latin American Relations Article (1941)

This article relays details on a speech presented in 1941 by newly-elected President of the Society, Jesse W. Levy, whose vision for the coming year included a proposal to initiate programs on the topic of Inter-American relations. Levy provided the following statement explaining his position: “There is a sincere desire on the part of all of us to learn more about our Latin American neighbors… Most of us, I believe, aside from any ulterior motives, are eager to become familiar with Latin American art, music, literature, social customs and traditions, in addition to matters of an economic and political nature”.
